Sports, sports, sports, sports, sports, sports, sports...

Some may say my Dad failed fatherhood. Although he is a huge Saint Kilda supporter, his first son supports Collingwood and his other son Melbourne.
To most, this would be the ultimate failure as a parent, but to Dad, this meant that he got to support three teams every week instead of one. I wasn't always a Collingwood supporter. When I was five years old my uncle Jamie took me to a Collingwood semi final. He bought me a full Collingwood kit, socks included. I was five, how could I say no to such a bribe. From that point onwards I was a Pies man.
Watching the Pies train has been something I always wanted to do, but never got around to doing. I wanted to complete this Challenge before the end of the year but I was running out of games. I knew that I be back from holidays for the first game of finals, but the Pies had to make it first. I was getting nervous because with a few weeks left to go in the season we were sitting in 6th place. Commanding wins over Melbourne, Adelaide and Essendon put us in the box seat for finals and I was ready to board the hype train!
The training session was on a beautiful Melbourne day. At least 200 fans turned up to the Holden Centre to watch the opening training session before the first final. For most of these Challenges I like to garner a lesson, but with this one it was just an enjoyable day watching the Magpies train. Would I do it again? Probably not, but I am glad that I went and supported my team.
Go Pies!
